Recognizing a Life Well Lived, Chuck Colson

Dear Members and friends of FCCI,

My heart is full of appreciation for each one of you.

I am reminded today of the real reason we do ‘what we do.’  It’s all about transformation – real, redemptive life change.  A good friend of FCCI’s went home to be with the Lord yesterday - few people are better examples of how God can transform a life than our friend, Chuck Colson.

FCCI exists to support, encourage and equip you to transform the world for Christ – starting with your ‘world’ – your sphere of influence. We exist to help you create a culture where transformation begins with you - and then in the lives of those around you - your family, your employees, your customers, your vendors. Real, redemptive life change - because you are called to be a ‘different’ kind of business steward.

Chuck Colson inspired me. He shared our vision for transformation and our passion to equip and encourage business leaders.  Just last week, I met with Chuck’s team at Breakpoint Ministries in Washington D.C. and they agreed to partner with us to provide FCCI customized material based on their break-through ethics series. Yes, It’s exciting news and we’ll tell you more about that later.

Chuck will be remembered as an example of the miracle that happens when God transforms a life through life-on-life discipleship - and when that transformed life becomes hands and feet for Christ.

Friends, we are on this journey together - to hold each other up, to support, to encourage, and to equip each other. So let’s walk together, let’s play together, let’s be equipped together, let’s be held accountable together in love – one company leader at a time, one issue at a time so that we too can be salt and light into a mission field that we live out every day.

How is the Lord calling you to be hands and feet for Christ because of your miracle of transformation? How is He leading you to live this out in your FCCI Business Leadership Group? How is He leading you to create an environment where relationships reflect the transforming presence of the Lord?

Today reminds me of why we are in fellowship and why God calls us to fellowship with one another. It reminds me that the real value of FCCI is and always will be relationship and life-on-life discipleship. Today, I’m reminded of and thankful for the miracles of transformed lives.

In service with you and remembering Chuck,
Terence
